Booking Steam Powered Giraffe for your event is fairly simple.

Our requirements are minimal and affordable, and we will work our best to accommodate your needs.

Steam Powered Giraffe is unique in that it is more than just a band. It is a theatrical act that consists of three singing pantomime artists, a drummer, a backup instramentalist, and a sound engineer. The unit travels together and comes equipped with a personal sound system headed by our operator to ensure a quality experience for your audience.

Our high quality act is tailored to fill theaters, large concerts, venues with 500+ seats, or anything in between. The setup includes everything you need sans stage and lighting.

Local California Show

For shows in Southern California, travel expenses are considerably cheaper or overlooked.

Touring Show

In order to travel from San Diego, CA to your event, the band has several requirements.

Travel is always the bulk of expense. While we are very flexible, we need to ensure our equipment and members arrive to the event so our performance is on par to the quality people expect from us.

Our touring shows will utilize the most efficient setup possible to facilitate the mobility of the band members and equipment. A touring show must be negotiated beforehand because we cannot cut band members nor equipment from show-to-show.

Travel Requirements:

• 2 Hotel Rooms for the night before our performance and the night of our show.

• Travel expenses to pay for a round van trip and any needed motel lodging.

OR

• Round trip airfare with Alaska, Jet Blue, or Southwest for 5 from the San Diego International Airport to a local airport near your event.

• Transportation from the airport to the hotel and back again.

• Transportation from the hotel to the venue and back again on the night of the show.

Keep in mind if you intend to fly us out, we cannot fly our sound equipment with us, and you will need to accomidate our technical needs and hire a sound operator!

Due to the unique nature of Steam Powered Giraffe performances, the performers require certain needs be met to ensure an outstanding show.

Standard Requirements:

• A green room or place the band can utilize to apply makeup. Running water is a must.

• A table to sell merchandise from during the run of the event.

• Bottles of water located on or closely off stage for each of our band members.

• Chairs for the band members to sit in offstage.
