A New Year of Newness! We've got some great shows for you all this month and we also have some new merchandise to sink your teeth into!
On Friday, January 13 2012, Steam Powered Giraffe will be headlining The Queen's Dinner Theatre at Her Royal Majesty's Steampunk Symposium aboard The Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. The entire event runs from Friday January 13th to Monday January 16th and hosts a plethora of panels and events to tickle your Victorian Science Fiction fancy. The week after, the robots will be heading out of California for Clockwork Con in Austin Texas! This three day convention will have a variety of panels on all things Steampunk, live crafting demonstrations, and a variety of unique vendors. It will also feature two nights of performances and musical acts to satisfy both your eyes and ears. Steam Powered Giraffe will be performing Friday night January 20th at 6:00pm as well as on Saturday night, January 21st at 8:00pm.

New Album and an Uncle Ralphie Show! On the road to the release of our next studio album, we present this intermission disc that captures the fun of our live shows. Utilizing live recordings from Summer 2011, we've added a faux audience to create a show that never was.
All your favorite songs are present with the popular renditions we do at our concerts. There are also new songs which include "Ju Ju Magic," "Me & My Baby (Saturday Night)," and "Automatonic Electronic Harmonics." And like our performances on stage, the album features bits with the robot characters and their zany shtick.

Ralph Benedict, AKA "Uncle Ralphie" is what happens when a mime and an imaginary character have a son. In January the robots will be in Long Beach California performing on the water at the Steampunk Symposium aboard the Queen Mary, which takes place January 13th to the 16th. Steam Powered Giraffe will be participating in a variety of events throughout the run of convention, and will also headline The Queen's Dinner Theatre on Friday the 13th! |
